COOKIES:
1/2 cup margarine
1 cup sugar
1 egg
11/2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 cup cocoa
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup flour
48 maraschino cherries

FROSTING:
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
1-3 teaspoons cherry juice

1. Cream margarine and sugar.

2. Beat in egg and vanilla.

3. In separate bowl, combine dry ingredients.

4. Add to creamed mixture.

5. Shape into 48 balls, about 1 inch round.

6. Push a cherry halfway into each ball.

7. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
